The Artistic Process

Digital Surrealism: Bridging Analog Roots and Digital Frontiers

Artistic Evolution

Rooted in the rich tradition of analog art, my journey began with pencil drawings and film photography in the Netherlands. As digital techniques emerged, I found a new canvas that allowed for unprecedented creative exploration.

Inspirational Foundations

My work draws deep inspiration from surrealist masters like Salvador Dali, the biomechanical visions of H.R. Giger, and the haunting landscapes of Zdzisław Beksiński. Their ability to transform reality into dreamlike, often unsettling narratives has profoundly shaped my artistic vision.

From Concept to Creation

Each artwork begins as a carefully constructed concept. I start by capturing foundational elements through photography, then meticulously layer and transform the image using a combination of Photoshop, Lightroom, and digital painting techniques.

The goal is not to replicate reality, but to deconstruct and reimagine it—creating visual narratives that challenge perception and invite viewers into alternate realities.

Beyond Recognition

My focus remains steadfastly on the work itself. Fame is secondary to the art—each piece is an exploration, a journey into the liminal spaces between imagination and reality.
